Hello and welcome to True North Budo (c) the Japanese Martial Arts School of London, Ontario Canada.
True North Budo teaches the students the complete curriculum of Japanese Kyokushin Budo Karate Do, and modern
Jiu-Jitsu principals with applied practical techniques.
The techniques from Kyokushin and Jiu jitsu are combined to practice real life, self-defense from stand up fighting concepts to ground maneuver and submission methods. We call this evolving integrated system KyokushinJutsu.
The instructors are trained, examined, ranked, certified, recognized, and licensed by the highest authorities in Japan to teach, train, and evaluate students studying Japanese Martial Arts.
We provide our students with an undiluted, authentic Japanese Martial Arts experience with rates that are designed to be affordable for all individuals and families. Tuition is paid monthly, and there are no long-term contracts. Our Academy is different from going to a gym as we foster greater discipline. The strength students develop is not only physical, but mental.
Located in London, Ontario, Canada, we offer age appropriate classes with a strong emphasis on the core values of the martial arts: self-discipline, self-confidence and self-control.

The Logo of True North Budo The Japanese Martial Arts School of London, Ontario KyokushinJutsu reflects, in addition to the school's identity, the school's culture, history, values and tradition.
Shihan Chad Newhide's digitalized image in Seiza (upright kneeling-sitting) during Mokuso (in silence to meditate) in preparation for training. He is in his White Traditional Japanese Uniform which signifies purity, truth, and readiness to absorb new knowledge and improve on what already has been learned. The Japanese Circle, enso which is associated with Zen and Japanese calligraphy, consists of two colors, black and red. The circle symbolizes absolute enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe in which we exist in, its energy that generates life which is represented in the gold color, innermost self, and its creation. Visually it represents the beauty of imperfection. The context of the red color symbolizes determination and perseverance, consciousness, emotion, passion, and self sacrifice. The black color symbolizes the darkness beyond the sun, knowledge of the physical and mental teachings of Budo, strength, power, and high skill quality of the Art. The red creates friction, resistance with the black, but it integrates itself indicating the three primary systems that we use in our daily training coming together to form a complete system of martial arts and self defense.
